Keturah Dubar

Board Secretary

Keturah Dubar has served as the Cake Pop Cares’ (CPC) Board Secretary since its inception. She is a Washington, D.C. native with a diverse set of skills, experience, and passion for helping people. Over the years, Keturah has sought to better herself and those around her. Cake Pop Cares’ unique offerings of services allow her the opportunity to give back to the community helping those less fortunate. Her goal is to support CPC in reaching its goal of growing into a dynamic organization focused on making a difference.

Natasha Norris

Board Member

Natasha Norris is a native Washingtonian who has spent most of her career in corporate finance. She is the mother of four beautiful children who each hold many talents. Natasha was inspired to do nonprofit work due to her deep love for children and her community. Natasha joined Cake Pop Cares in 2000, to give the population that we serve exactly what they need, care and comfort.

Dr. Yolanda Phillips

Board Member

Dr. Yolanda  Phillips comes from a large family where she is an older sibling. Through that experience, she learned the value of leading, teaching, and providing. These values, as she matured, established in her, a spirit of love, compassion, and humanity for others in need, especially children. Today, we live in a time where many people lack necessities such as food, shelter, clothing, and healthcare and our children are most vulnerable to these needs because of their inability to provide and protect themselves. This reason is why she’s honored to serve as a Board of Director’s member for Cake Pop Cares, Inc.

Dr. Tia Harper-Velazquez

Board Member

Dr. Tia Harper-Velazquez is currently the Director of the Division of Supply Chain Integrity, Office of Drug Security, Integrity, and Response, Office of Compliance, Center for Drug

Evaluation and Research at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). In addition, she is a Captain in the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps (USPHS) and has dedicated her career to promoting public health. She has participated in Remote Area Medical missions providing needed on-site healthcare for underserved areas of the United States

Dr. Harper-Velazquez also has a passion for mentoring youth.

Andrea Kirk, J.D.

Treasurer

Andrea Kirk has been in public service for over 20 years. She is a tireless advocate for reproductive rights, indigenous sovereignty and environmental justice. She received her JD from Capital University in 2006, and resides on a farm in Kentucky with her family.

Tasha Brooks

Board Chair

Tasha is a native of Washington, DC, who took a vision and made it into a reality. Her experience in foster care developed a deep passion for charitable work. She is a powerful force in her community and uses her compassion and positive attitude to encourage and care for others.
